ROBERT E. MOORE

Artist & Steward

THE MISSION Throughout my life, the guiding principle has been to seek clarity. That dedication has culminated in a realized philosophy: an artistic practice that transforms discarded objects and fleeting moments into Living Artifacts. My work is the ultimate expression of this journey—proof that a life defined by hardship and profound observation can be reclaimed.

I. THE FOUNDATIONS (Roots & Discipline) Born and raised in Rabun County, Georgia, my earliest understanding of value came directly from the land—the abundance of wildlife, the crisp water from the granite mountains, and the hard-won legacy of the Kelly family. This background taught me that value is not about extravagance; it is about the integrity of the process. That work ethic led me to leave school at sixteen and serve in the U.S. Army Infantry. The Army provided the discipline I needed to excel, reinforcing the lesson that a strong foundation is everything.

II. THE FIRST RECLAMATION (The Industrial Witness) After my service, I spent decades managing the collision between industry and environment. I spent countless hours witnessing the Symbiotic Duality: the tension between the grainy chaos of the human world and nature's perfect focus. I was professionally fighting nature to impose order, while personally watching nature tenaciously reclaim every abandoned corner. I realized the discarded wood, the forgotten machinery, and the broken concrete were not just waste—they were scars waiting to be interpreted.

III. THE FINAL TRANSFORMATION (Art as Philosophy) At the age of 54, I recognized that the work was not in fighting the landscape, but in translating it. I realized that my life was an artistic expression—a canvas of continued resilience. Rather than focus on the loss, I now observe the scars as inspirational resources. It is my duty to advance this knowledge, creating Living Artifacts that serve as anchors for those seeking their own clarity.
