Unfinished Work: Incomplete Works Series
TITLE: Governance Studies: Unfinished Work No. 01
THE ASSET: REM-25-IWS-001
THE PHILOSOPHY "Governance is the attempt to hold back the tide. Entropy is the water that always gets through."
This artifact captures the tension between the Environment we inhabit and the Order we try to impose upon it. The rigid, geometric blocks (stained in teal, rose, and charcoal) assert themselves as a layer of governance over a chaotic, textured background.
THE COMPOSITION
The Structure: The wooden grid represents the city, the dam, and the fence—linear attempts to control space.
The Disruption: A single diagonal timber cuts across the vertical grid, serving as the visual anchor that prevents the "Governance" from becoming too perfect.
The Background: Textured acrylics mimic the forest floor—the organic entropy waiting underneath the structure.
NOTE ON DISPLAY (3D Artifact) This work is three-dimensional. The wooden elements extend significantly from the canvas surface. It is shipped on a rigid panel, ready for a custom deep-profile shadow box frame of the Steward's choosing.
Framing Example: The final image in the gallery displays a concept of how this artifact looks when professionally mounted in a lit shadow box. The frame and lighting shown are for visualization purposes only and are not included.
